This group was started in 2006 by a mom and dad with two adopted kids of a different race and two biological kids. The purpose of the group is to meet and connect ourselves and our children with families that are similar to our own. We have grown to 30+ plus families in the Montclair, New Jersey (and surrounding) area. We are all connected by adoption; many through DYFS, some domestically and some internationally. We are a welcoming and inclusive group open to all adoptive multiracial families.

We welcome adoptive and foster families, and prospective adoptive parents, who live in (or near) Jersey City or NYC. Members should feel free to post events. Spread the word! That said, we do not allow businesses of any type to join. This is not the place to promote your adoption agency, law firm or other business.

Every rescued dog is a success story, and this group can be a place to share your dog's own story while meeting other people who have made the same commitment to saving an animal from a shelter, the streets, or any other bad situation.
